Cool Kid of the Day

We'd like to congratulate Luscious Verde co-owner Wendy on the birth of her third child. He was born early Sunday morning at around 1:45 a.m. He's eight pounds, 22 inches, and Wendy, her husband, and family are doing fine.

She even called in yesterday to see how things were going here, only 12 hours after having a kid. Some call it a strong work ethic, some call it crazy, and the rest of us just call it "Wendy."

Today's hot card is from Embrey Papers in sunny Los Angeles, California, where it's probably nicer than here in Cleveland, where it looks like it's seven o'clock in the evening outside, when it's only mid-afternoon.

Hot Card of the Day (New Year Edition)

After a lengthy hiatus, today's hot card comes to us from Anne Grace Designs, in Dallas, Texas. It's a save-the-date card utilizing our magic custom-cutting technology. I should be used to this by now, but I'm still honestly and consistently amazed by what we come up with when we and our retailers work together.

Happy New Year

Hello, and happy 2008 to all of our fantastic retailers and assorted Luscious Verde fans. We’re excited to be back in action and wanted to extend one more big “thanks” for all of your hard work this holiday season. As the start of the new year approaches we would love to know more about what’s going on in your lives and in your stores. Do you have a birthday approaching, a new baby on the way, an anniversary? Anything that screams celebration we want to be a part of it. Who knows, there may be goodies in your future. So, drop us a note and bundle up! (Well, most of you anyway… maybe our Cali and Florida stores will send us some sunshine if we’re good.)
